Principal's Message for the week of 01.01.18

Announcements for the Week of December January 1st, 2018

Good Morning, this is Jessica Emory the Principal of Harkers Island with the announcements for the coming weeks. This announcement can also be located on the school website on the main page.

Week Events:

For the week of January 1st:

  • Students are on Holiday Break from the 18th of December through January 1st.  Students return to school on January 2nd.  The school will be closed during this time and workers will be working on the old office space and the new lobby expansion.

For the week of January 8th:

  • There are no significant school events this week.

Construction

The Main Office, Principal’s Office, and Counselor’s Office have moved to the new spaces.  Over break demolition on the old main office and construction on the new Main Lobby will start.  We will be under construction for a few months while this project is completed.

Morning Drop-Off

The doors to the school are not open in the morning for morning drop-off earlier than 7:30.  Parents are required to wait until 7:30 for drop- off.  This is a CCS and HIES policy due to the supervision availability of staff and workday hours.  Thank you for supporting our staff and policy but not dropping your student(s) off before 7:30.
